Netball is a challenging sport for students of all ages. Children at St Benedict's have the opportunity to compete for their school from Year 4 to Year 8. Being a Year 6 netballer, I enjoy two practices a week and a competitive game on Saturday morning. During practices we work on skills, play friendly games against older teams and practice shooting.

Netball is an enjoyable sport encouraging students to play fair and be great team players.

Flippaball is a new water sport that we play at Keith Spry Pool. Many year 4, 5 and 6 students play and there is a waiting list of year 4 students wanting to play.

Games are on Fridays between 3.30-6.00 for 30 minutes. There are two teams, a deep grade team and a shallow team. So far this year the deep team has only lost ONE game and the shallow team hasn’t lost a game in term three!!

Miniball is a game of basketball for years 3-6 with a smaller court, less time and for me it is a lot more fun.

The year 5-6 grade has two teams one called St Ben’s Wizards the other St Ben’s Magic. The uniform is a blue singlet with the school P.E shorts. It is held at Nairnville Recreation Centre in Khandallah. It is thoroughly enjoyable and lots of schools in the area compete.

Basketball2Basketball is now the most popular sport at St Benedict's School, with a large number of students participating in a very competitive league. It is played at the Narnville Recreation centre on Friday nights. St Benedict's dominate the league & have been successful every year. The teams are the St Benedict's Celtics, the St Benedict's Chargers, & the St Benedict's Bulls. Many great players have emerged during the years & they are great leaders to their teams. As the players have progressed to college they have continued to be very successful also.

After the season is over Narnville host a basketball all star game. The best players from the league face each other in a game to see which team of good players wins. Me & my friends love playing basketball at St Benedict's. How about you give it a go!
