Computers in the classroom St Benedict's believes in using Information Technology to enhance learning in all curriculum areas. It is one of the many resources available to be utilised by our teachers in delivering the curriculum to our students.
All senior classrooms have at least four desktop computers and a printer for the class. The junior and middle syndicate classes have 1 - 3 PCs in each room. We also have 20 laptops available for use throughout the school. All computers are networked and have internet access. Teaching in the senior syndicate increasingly uses multimedia presentations to enhance student learning. Three of our senior classes have interactive whiteboards installed, and there are two visualisers and two portable data projectors available for use anywhere in the school.
The school employs an external company, OneStop IT Ltd, to install and maintain both hardware and software. A significant portion of the school's annual budget is allocated to developing our IT resources to further enhance learning for our students.
