Room 2 is a class of lovely Year 1 children who are vibrant members of the junior syndicate and who have an active involvement in the life of the school. The teacher in Room 2 is Miss Catherine Steele.
We are starting term 1 by learning about Statistics and then Number in Mathematics and communicating ideas in Reading and Story Writing. Our unit this term is based around the Kia Kaha programme. As part of our Religious Education programme we are learning about God our Creator as well as Lent, in the lead up to Easter. Our P.E. focus is on swimming this term.
It is wonderful to see the students’ continual progress across all the curriculum areas as the children gain confidence in their own ability. The classroom is always a hive of activity and a range of abilities are catered for.
Parents are always welcome to stay for prayers in the morning.
